On the auspicious occasion of Lord Rama's birthday - Ram Navami celebrations were ushered with much reverence in the country. The 9-day festivity of Chaitra Navratri which began this year on April 13, concluded on Ram Navami, April 21, Wednesday. Devotees prayed to Lord Rama and also to goddess Siddhidhatri - the 9th avatar of Maa Durga during Navratri. In these nine days of festivity, different avatars of goddess Durga are worshipped. However, celebrations are low key this year due to the deadly novel coronavirus pandemic.

It is said that Lord Ram was born on the Navami tithi of Shukla Paksha in the Chaitra month. Let's take a look at how the nation celebrated Ram Navami amid COVID-19 pandemic outbreak this year:
