Google Photos ‘Best of 2021’ Memories collection available for users

Depending on how long you've been backing up your images on the Google Photos app, it may still show some photo groups at the top if you've stopped backing them up.

The Best of 2021 Memories collection, on the other hand, does not appear to have been extensively distributed. The Memories carousel, which was previously unique to the Google Photos mobile app, is now available on Google Photos site and the Nest Hub. This year, Google has boosted the amount of Memories collections.

The AI will select images from January of this year that it deems are relevant enough to add in this collection and display them as you load the app. According to the report, the photographs are shown without regard to date order.

The 'Best of 2021' collection arrives on the heels of Google Photos' new events Memories feature, which can automatically curate a selection of photos and videos from festive seasons such as New Year's Eve, Diwali, Holi, and Halloween, as well as important events such as birthdays, marriage anniversaries, and graduations.

According to a 9To5Google report, you may soon notice a 'Best of 2021' Memories collection of photos inside your Google Photos app if you have been keeping your images on it. Memories is a collection of auto-generated photo albums that appear at the top of the 'Photos' page within the Google Photos app.
