BMW iX electric SUV launched in India at Rs 1.16 crore, detailed image gallery - In Pics

The BMW iX is the first-ever electric car from the BWM Group in India and starts the electrification journey for the German luxury carmaker, who has announced to launch 3 electric vehicles in the next 6 months, incluing the iX and the Mini Electric. 

The BMW iX will be available in the xDriv40 version being brought under the CBU route and is priced at Rs 1.16 crore. Deliveries are expected to start at the beginning of April 2022. 

The BMW iX is available in metallic paintworks Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire and Sophisto Grey. It is also optionally available in BMW Individual Aventurine Red metallic paint finish. Exclusive olive-leaf tanned natural leather upholstery ‘Interior Design Suite’ comes in Castanea color scheme.

BMW iX gets dual motor setup (one for each axle) producing a combined 326 hp, pushing the SAV from 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds. 

Inside the cabin, a host of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies are offered including the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Curved Display, a 12.3-inch digital information display behind the steering wheel, a 14.9-inch Control Display and BMW Head-up Display with Wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto connectivity, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System with 18 speakers and more.

The BMW iX also gets race car inspired hexagonal steering wheel, electrochromic BMW Sky Lounge Panorama Glass Roof, multi-functional seats with integral head restraints and massage function, bespoke leather upholstery, Ambient Lighting for and luggage capacity of up to 1,750 litres with 40/20/40 split.

Two high-voltage batteries integrated in the floor have a combined capacity of 76.6 kWh and provide a range of up to 425 kilometres. As an introductory offer, the BMW iX will come with a complimentary smart BMW Wallbox charger with a 11kW setup and can charge the car in 7 hours. 

The BMW iX competes directly with the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the first electric SUV from a luxury brand, Audi e-Tron and Jaguar iPace. 

It gets the intelligent all-wheel drive system and ‘My Modes’ that changes driving character to Personal, Sport or Efficient. There's also BMW IconicSounds Electric to create engaging driving sounds and pedestrian alerts.

The BMW iX comes with standard two-year warranty for unlimited kilometres. The batteries are covered by a warranty valid for eight years or up to 160,000 kilometres. Repair Inclusive can extend warranty benefits from third year of operation to maximum fifth year without any mileage limitation.
