Zaheer Khan’s wife Sagarika Ghatge looked like a royal bride on her Mehendi ceremony – See PIC

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge, who exchanged marital vows with former cricketer Zaheer Khan in an intimate register marriage ceremony on Thursday last week, looked like a royal bride on her Mehendi day.

Sagarika wore an Anita Dongre creation and was styled by Vedhika Ghotge.

The new bride looked stunning in a greyish and sea blue embroidered ensemble. Her necklace made of pearl strings attached to a beautifully crafted pendant with matching earrings added elegance to her attire. She kept her hairdo simple and sported a maang tika and a small red bindi.

While the groom looked dapper in a royal blue kurta/ jacket and a white pyjama.

The couple hosted a post-wedding party in Mumbai for friends and colleagues. Ajit Agarkar and his wife Fatima Ghadially, Abhishek Kapoor and Pragya Yadav and Akash Ambani were among the guests who had attended the bash.

Zak and Sagarika did face any resistance from their respective families when they decided to get married to each other. Both Zak and Sagarika’s parents were supportive of their decision and the marriage was solemnised in their presence. The wedding was a very private affair with just a handful of guests in attendance.

During an interview a few weeks back, Sagarika reportedly said, “My parents are also open-minded and their primary concern was that I marry the right person. I am sure they may have had their apprehensions, but after meeting him, it cleared a lot of things for them. He is perfect.”

Zaheer’s family too supported him in his decision. He reportedly said, “"We didn't face any such issues. Both our families are evolved enough to understand that it's about marrying the right person over marrying into the same religion. It's important to be a good human being."
