Nirbhaya verdict: Priyanka Chopra hails SC ruling, shares a heartfelt note on Twitter!

New Delhi: The entire nation rose to witness the much-awaited moment of justice being meted out by the Supreme Court in Nirbhaya case. As soon as the verdict upholding the death sentence for all the four accused in December 16, 2012, gang-rape case came out, social media was stormed with several posts opining on the same.

On December 16, 2012, India was shamed as a young 23-year-old paramedic student (Nirbhaya) was gang-raped by six men in a moving bus. The Supreme Court on Friday confirmed death penalty for all four convicts in Nirbhaya gang-rape case.

The prime accused in the horrific case, Ram Singh committed suicide inside the jail and another accused, who happened to be a juvenile at the time of committing the heinous crime was sent to a reformative sentence of 3 years.

Several Bollywood celebrities hailed the verdict and called out on how finally the parents of Nirbhaya got justice. Priyanka Chopra too shared a heartfelt note on Twitter expressing her feelings on the verdict.
