Kareena Kapoor's shocking revelation — 'Saif was ready to change Taimur's name to Faiz'

New Delhi: Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on Saturday made a stunning revelation on the controversy surrounding her child's name post his birth and said that her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan was ready to change his name from Taimur to Faiz. 

The actress, however, added that she stopped Saif from changing the name and said that she did not succumb to the public pressure. 

Kareena was speaking at a media conclave when she made these revelations. 

She said that just like the meaning of the name Taimur, her child will grow up to be an 'Iron Man'. 

"Saif was ready to change his name to Faiz but I was not going to succumb to public pressure. My son is Taimur and will grow up to be like his name -- an Iron Man one day," she said. 

In the recent time, Kareena has on a number of occasions maintained that she does not like the fact that her little munchkin is being watched round the clock by media. 

Speaking at the event, the actress once again asserted that she does not appreciate her 14-month-old kid's picture being out everyday. "I do not like the fact that everyday Taimur's moves are monitored, pictures are out, what he is doing, where he is going, what he is wearing, discussing his hairstyle. He is just a 14-month-old," she said adding that she doesn't know how to stop it. 

"I don't know how to stop it. You are just following him around," Kareena said.

Kareena, who was last seen in 'Udta Punjab' and is gearing up for 'Veere Di Wedding', however, added that she feels that Taimur has been getting used to being followed all the time. 

"I think he is getting used to it because off late if I compare his pictures, he has started posing," she said.
