Aamir Khan's intolerance remark: Flipkart's Sachin Bansal supports Snapdeal

New Delhi: They might be business rivals and might have hit out at each other in the past, but on Wednesday Flipkart founder Sachin Bansal came to the rescue of Snapdeal which came under fire following its ambassador Aamir Khan's statement on intolerance in India.
"This is a flawed logic. Brands don't buy into brand ambassadors personal opinions. @snapdeal shouldn't face this," Bansal, the co-founder and CEO of Flipkart tweeted.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan has been in the eye of the storm following his comment on Monday that intolerance was growing in India and that his wife, Kiran Rao, had thought of leaving India due to fear of safety for their child.
Many people were enraged with this statement of Aamir Khan and vented out their anger on Snapdeal.

Clarifying on Khan's statement, Snapdeal distanced itself and said it is neither connected nor play a role in the comments.
“We are neither connected nor play a role in comments made by Aamir Khan in his personal capacity,” Snapdeal said in a statement.
