A teenage boy has been arrested in Australia for making a bomb threat online that led to the evacuation of iconic Sydney Opera House.

Melbourne: A teenage boy has been arrested in Australia for making a bomb threat online that led to the evacuation of iconic Sydney Opera House and the search of Manly ferry wharf last week.
The 17-year-old boy was arrested yesterday and is due to appear at Children's Court on February 23.
He was charged with false representation resulting in a police investigation, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The forecourt of the Sydney Opera House was evacuated and police erected metal barriers on Thursday. All tours of the Opera House were also cancelled for the day and ferries were either delayed or cancelled.
A police operation was also carried out in Manly area of New South Wales after the threat that a bomb was on board a Manly ferry.
Searches at both locations failed to find anything of interest. The police then investigated the threat and arrested the boy.
