Blast at Trinamool victory rally in West Bengal, nine injured

Nine persons, including six children, were injured when unidentified persons hurled a bomb at a victory rally of Trinamool Congress at Kipalpur in North 24 Parganas district today.

Barasat: Nine persons, including six children, were injured when unidentified persons hurled a bomb at a victory rally of Trinamool Congress at Kipalpur in North 24 Parganas district today.

The bomb exploded in the victory rally, injuring three Trinamool Congress supporters and six children standing nearby, a police official said.

While one injured TMC supporter and a child were admitted to the Bashirhat hospital, others were discharged after first aid.

Police were enquiring into the identity of the people who hurled the bomb into the rally before escaping, he said.
