The three include Salim Bawaria, the kingpin of the gang and the prime accused.

Police on Monday midnight claimed to have arrested the accused in the case.

Police officials said 10 teams had been formed to crack the case and catch the culprits.

Meanwhile, Inspector General (Meerut) Sujit Pandey courted controversy on Tuesday when he revealed the name of the victim's father.

He later tried to cover his tracks by saying that even the media covers such incidents and interviews the victims and family members. He also said that no rule book barred him from doing so.
