Indian Army can respond to any threat to national security: Gen Dalbir Singh

New Delhi: General Dalbir Singh Suhag, Wednesday, assured the nation that Indian Army is well prepared to respond to any threat to nation’s security.

“I assure nation that your Army is highly motivated and ready to respond to any threats to our national security,” the Army Chief said, adding, that the security environment facing the nation is becoming more increasingly more complex and dynamic.

Gen Singh also talked about the recent operation in Pathankot to neutralise militants who had entered the air base there.

“It was a good operation. To ensure less casualties we had to take time to complete operation. Area of contact had to be contained so no one escaped. (sic),” he said.

Gen Singh added that he has instructed all army commanders to do a security audit.
