New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has spoken about the frosty relationship that he shares with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While both live in the heart of the capital, yet the distance between the two is too big to bridge, it appears.
Speaking to NDTV, Kejriwal said he doesn't want fights with the Centre led by Narendra Modi but wants to work with them for Delhi.
Kejriwal said he has met PM Modi and told him that the Delhi government doesn't want anything from the Centre , neither money nor land.
“I and Manish (Sisodia) went to meet the PM. I told him I am like your child, please guide us. He did not say anything. He remained silent,” NDTV quoted Kejriwal as saying.
“We just want to be able to work. If he lets me (work), I'll carry on initiatives like Skill India,” he added.
The Delhi CM refused to apologise or express regret for calling PM Modi a "coward and a psychopath" earlier this month.
"I don't regret anything. I accept I use bad language, I speak from the heart," Kejriwal said.
"The PM uses flowery language...but his actions are not good," he added.
