A bipartisan group of five Members of Parliament would be visiting the United States next week to meet their American counterparts, policy experts and industry members to develop and strengthen bilateral ties.

Washington: A bipartisan group of five Members of Parliament would be visiting the United States next week to meet their American counterparts, policy experts and industry members to develop and strengthen bilateral ties.
Baijayant "Jay" Panda, who is chair of the India-US Forum of Parliamentarians (IUFP), will lead the group. The other Members of Parliament are Jyotiraditya Scindia, Gaurav Gogoi from Congress, Kalvakuntla Kavitha from Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Arpita Ghosh from Trinamool Congress.
An initiative of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), along the lines of the India Caucus and Senate Friends of India Group in US Congress, provides a platform to the Indian Parliamentarians to develop and strengthen India-US relations through Track II initiatives, a statement said.
The delegation would also include S Didar Singh, FICCI secretary general and Harshavardhan Neotia, president elect FICCI.
