Summer is approaching! But with summer, comes the dangers that not only induce the odds of your health, but skin as well.

It is essential to take care of your skin during the summertime as ultraviolet (UV) levels can wreak havoc on your exposed skin. Below are a few tips to keep your skin healthy during summer:

Sunscreen: Always apply sunscreens to help protect your skin from the season's harsh sun damage. Experts generally recommend a minimum of SFP 30 for everyday sunscreen and SFP 50 for long stints outside. Remember, UV rays can cause your skin to age prematurely. It can also lead to pigmentation.

You should always note that applying moisturizer with SFP is a must regardless of the season.

Exfoliate: Exfoliation is an essential part in skincare regime. The process helps remove dead, dulling skin debris while improving congestion and skin texture. Exfoliate prior to toner, moisturizer, sunscreen and other make-up application.

Revive: Your face, neck and other exposed parts of the body need serious skin revival – perhaps, a tripple/quad action approach. First, wash your face with cold water and a gentle cleanser. Apply a toner to help your pores close. Then, apply a dark spot correcting serum to diminish sunspots, followed by a deep-acting moisturizer to re-hydrate and help fight wrinkles.

Water: Drinking an adequate amount of water is importan for overall good health. Water flushes toxins out of your body and clears your skin of any dirt and bacteria. Drink water as much as you can to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

Also go for seasonal summer foods such as watermelon, berries, leafy greens that have a higher concentration of water to help you stay hydrated in the heat.
