The project was sanctioned by the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry.

Puducherry: Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Friday said his government was concentrating on providing improved infrastructure facilities like roads.

Rise in population coupled with the increase in vehicles and density of traffic prompted the government to revisit the infrastructure facilities, he said.

He was speaking after inaugurating a Road Over Bride on the 100 Feet Road here, built at a cost of Rs 35.72 crore.

The project was sanctioned by the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry.

The Chief Minister said a similar road over bridge was now being developed at the Arumpathapuram level crossing in Puducherry-Villupuram route.
