Newborn girl found dumped in garbage, bitten by ants

BHOPAL: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in the garbage dump in Bhopal, bitten by ants. The baby suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalised in a critical condition on Saturday.

“There are multiple injuries on the baby girl's body. Condition remains critical even now,” the attending Doctor Sunil Kumar at Bhopal's JP hospital told ANI. 

The hospital staff is currently taking care of the baby.

According to reports, the infant was found in polybag, swarmed with ants, by a tea stall owner. 

State police have registered a case and are looking for the parents.
