Bhopal: A minor girl in Madhya Pradesh's Betul was allegedly gangraped on January 11. The incident took place when she was on her way to school from Betul to Khandwa.

A case has been registered against five people and the investigation is underway.

The girl and her family members were threatened due to which they refrained themselves form lodging a complaint to the police.

The incident came under light after the victim visited her maternal grandmother's house in Harda. 

After knowing about the matter, her grandmother took her to the police station to register a complaint. The case registered in Harda will also be sent to Betul.

"Girl was threatened, due to fear she & her family members didn't complain to police. Girl came to her maternal grandmother's house in Harda who after knowing about the matter brought her to us. We have registered case in Harda which will be sent to Betul," RK Singh, SP Harda said.
