Encounter between terrorists and security forces underway in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal

Srinagar: An encounter has broken out on Monday between terrorists and security forces in Shuhama area of Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area, the official said.

"A cordon and search operation was being conducted at this location. In the initial stage, a cordon was being led and a few rounds of gunshots were exchanged. We are conducting searches and the entire area has been cordoned," K Poswal, SSP Ganderbal said.

No loss of life has been reported, a police official said. The incident happened in Ganderbal district's Bakoora area, he said.
