J&K reports highest single-day tally with 4,716 cases of which 1518 from Jammu division and 3198 from Kashmir division. Nearly 52 deaths were reported during last twenty four hours, 28 from Jammu and 24 from from Kashmir division. Around 2338 patients recovered.

Uttarakhand: Chamoli District Magistrate Swati Bhadoria issued orders imposing 'corona curfew' up till May 9. During the curfew, essential shops will stay open in district till 2 pm while pharmacies will remain open throughout day. (ANI)

Meghalaya imposes complete lockdown in East Khasi Hills district from May 5 to May 10. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, "In view of the prevailing Covid situation, Govt. has decided to impose complete lockdown in East Khasi Hills district from 8 PM of May 5 till 5 AM of May 10, 2021. Weekend lockdown will also be imposed in all districts in the State. (ANI) 

Sikkim imposes night curfew from 5 pm to 9 am. Inter-District movement of persons and all vehicles are prohibited, excluding army, security personnel & vehicles carrying essentials. Vehicles with essential items to be allowed between 5 am to 8.30 am. Restrictions to be imposed w.e.f. May 6 to May 16.
