Hyderabad Election Results 2023 Updates: BJP Makes Inroads But AIMIM Retains Strongholds

The counting of votes took place for all the seven assembly constituencies in Hyderabad namely -Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Goshamahal, Karwan, Malakpet and Yakutpura.

Telangana Election Results Updates: The BJP today made a significant inroads into Telangana by increasing its vote share and is on road to win 8-9 seats in the state. While the state voted for Congress giving the grand old pary a majority with over 65 seats, the ruling BRS was confined to just 39 seats. The AIMIM, on the other hand, is on path to win five of the seven seats in contested in the Hyderabad region. The counting of votes for Telangana assembly elections is in the final phase including that for the seven seats of Hyderabad namely Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Goshamahal, Karwan, Malakpet and Yakutpura. 

The BJP increased its vote share significantly in the district. BJP leader T Raja Singh is leading from the Goshamahal seat. The AIMIM candidates are leading on all other six seats. AIMIM candidates Mir Zulfeqar Ali is leading from Charminar, Kausar Mohiuddin from the Karwan seat, Akbar Uddin Owaisi from the Chandrayangutta, Mohammed Mubeen from the Bahadurpura seat, Jaffar Hussain from the Yakutpura seat, and Ahmed Bin Abdullah is leading from the Malakpet seat.

4.00 pm: BJP leader T Raja Singh is leading from te Goshamahal seat by over 21,000 votes against BRS candidate Nand Kishor Vyas. Congress candidate Mogili Sunitha and AIMIM candidate Mohd Abdul Azeem are also trailing.
3.40pm: Mir Zulfeqar Ali of AIMIM is leading from Charminar seat by 22858 votes against BJP candidate Megha Rani Agarwal. Congress candidate from the seat is Mohammed Mujeebullah Shareef and BRS candidate is Mohammed Salauddin Lodhi.
3.05 pm: From the Chandrayangutta seat, Akbar Uddin Owaisi is leading by 44,883 votes against BRS candidate M. Sitharam Reddy of BRS, K Mahender of the BJP, and Boya Nagesh of the Congress.
2.20 pm: Mohammed Mubeen of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is leading by over 31 thousand votes from Bahadurpura seat against BJP's Y Naresh and BRS' Mir Inayath Ali Baqri.
2.01 pm: From the Yakutpura seat, AIMIM candidate Jaffar Hussain is leading by 1132 votes against BJP leader N Veerender Babu Yadav.
2.00 pm: From the Malakpet seat, AIMIM candidate Ahmed Bin Abdullah is leading by 4,513 votes against BJP leader Samreddy Surender Reddy.
1.40pm: Amar Singh of BJP leading from Karwan seat by over 5,900 votes against A Krishna of BRS, Kausar Mohiuddin of AIMIM and Osman Hadri of Congress. 
1.12pm: BJP leader T Raja Singh is leading from te Goshamahal seat by 17894 votes against BRS candidate Nand Kishor Vyas. Congress candidate Mogili Sunitha and AIMIM candidate Mohd Abdul Azeem are also trailing.
1.06 pm: Mir Zulfeqar Ali of AIMIM is now leading from Charminar seat against BJP candidate Megha Rani Agarwal. Congress candidate from the seat is Mohammed Mujeebullah Shareef and BRS candidate is Mohammed Salauddin Lodhi.
12.50 pm: Mohammed Mubeen of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen is leading from Bahadurpura seat against BJP's Y Naresh and BRS' Mir Inayath Ali Baqri.
12.40pm: Akbar Uddin Owaisi of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen is leading by 17945 votes from Chandrayangutta seat against MS Reddy of BRS and Kowdi Mahender of BJP.
12.35pm: BJP candidate N Veerender Babu is leading from the Yakutpura seat by 3,600 vote against AIMIM candidate Jaffar Hussain and BRS candidate SS Reddy.
12.31pm: AIMIM candidate Ahmed Balal is leading from Malakpet against BJP candidate Surender Reddy and Congress candidate Shaik Akbar.
12.27pm: Amar Singh of BJP leading from Karwan seat against A Krishna of BRS, Kausar Mohiuddin of AIMIM and Osman Hadri of Congress. 
10.36am: BJP candidate Megha Rani is leading from Charminar seat, the stronghold of AIMIM. BRS has fielded Ibrahim Lodi and Mohd Mujeeb Ullah Shareef is Congress candidate. 
11.28am: BJP candidate Y Naresh is leading from Bahadurpura against Mir Inayath Ali Barqi of BRS and Rajesh Kumaar of Congress. Naresh is leading by 3043 votes.
11.00am: N Veerender Babu Yadav of BJP is leading from Yakutpura seat by 1251 votes against Amjed Ullah Khan of Majlis Bachao Tahreek.
10.30am: BJP's firebrad leader T Raja is leading from Goshamahal seat against Congress candidate Mogili Sunitha and BRS candidate Nand Kishor Vyas.
10.20: Akbar Uddin Owaisi is leading from Chandryangutta seat against BRS candidate M. Sitharam Reddy of BRS, K Mahender of the BJP, and Boya Nagesh of the Congress.

From Bahadurpura, the BRS has fielded Ali Baqri against Y Naresh Kumar of the BJP and Rajesh Kumar Pulipati of Congress. From the Chandrayangutta seat, M. Sitharam Reddy of BRS is up against K Mahender of the BJP, Boya Nagesh of the Congress party and Akbaruddin Owaisi of AIMIM. From the Charminar assembly constituency, the BRS has fielded Ibrahim Lodi against Megha Rani of BJP and Mohd Mujeeb Ullah Shareef of Congress. As per latest trends, Congress is leading on 65 seats, BRS on 45 seats, BJP on 4 seats and the AIMIM on 4 seats.

From the Goshmahal seat, Nanda Kishore Vyas of BRS is up against firebrand BJP leader and MLA T Raja Singh. From the Karwan seat, Aindala Krishnaiah of BRS is up against Amar Singh of BJP and Osman Bin Mohammed Al Hajri of Congress. From the Malakpet seat, Teegala Ajith Reddy of BRS is contesting the polls against Samreddy Surender Reddy of the BJP and Shaikh Akbar of Congress. On the other hand, the Yakutpura seat is again witnessing a triangular contest with Sama Sunder Reddy of BRS up against Veerander Yadav of BJP and K Ravi Raju of Congress.

The 119 seats of Telangana went to the polls in a single phase on November 30 with the exit polls predicting a majority for Congress. The state has been under the BRS rule since 2013 when it was formed. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is seeking a third straight term this year while the Congress is looking to stage an upset in the polls to create history.
