Image for representational purpose only New Delhi: A man from Karnataka was arrested after he abandoned the body of his stillborn baby girl on the premises of a hospital.
As per reports, the incident came to light when people at the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) hospital noticed stray dogs feed on the newborn-girl's body, which was dumbed near the premises.
The man's wife, Rizwana, had delivered a premature baby girl via a caesarean section, but it was a stillborn, which later died late on Tuesday.
Samiulla, the father of the baby girl, allegedly dumped the body near the blood bank on the hospital premises and escaped instead of performing the last rites.
