World Wildlife Day: Sudarsan Pattnaik urges people to protect wildlife in his sand art tribute

New Delhi: World Wildlife Day is celebrated on March 3rd every year to raise awareness and about animals embellish planet Earth.

Introduced by the United Nations in 2013, World Wildlife Day is celebrated with a new theme each year and this year's theme is 'Listen to the Young Voices.'

On this occasion, renowned sand artist from Odisha, Bhubaneswar, Sudarsan Pattnaik took to Twitter and shared a sand art creating awarness and urging people to save the wildlife and environment.

Since almost a quarter of the world’s population is aged between 10 and 24, vigorous efforts need to be made to encourage young people, as the future leaders and decision makers of the world, to act at both local and global levels to protect endangered wildlife.
