Leaked trailer of 'Mohalla Assi' stirs up social media with expletives abound

New Delhi: It takes special courage to weave a satire. And presenting it with Varanasi as it's focus is beyond courage. Sunny Deol, the man with the 2.5 kg arm is soon going to be seen in 'Mohalla Assi' as a Sanskrit teacher with Sakshi Tanwar playing his wife.

The trailer for the film was leaked online and the usage of expletives by almost all the characters in the trailer has created a huge furore already. The biggest question being raised is whether the film will be able to get the censor certificate considering the tightening of the noose by CBFC in the past few months.

Loosely based on Kashi Nath Singh's book 'Kashi Ka Assi', this film is a satirical take on the world's most ancient cities tryst with religion, Ganga, thugs, and the  underbelly of drugs and tourism.

Directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, the film also stars Ravi Kishan, Saurabh Shukla and Mukesh Tiwari in pivotal roles.
