Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj calls Hazel Keech's name change to Gurbasant Kaur a nonsense

New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech got married on November 30 and December 2 as per Sikh and Hindu customs respectively.

Hazel's name was changed to Gurbasant Kaur after the first marriage took place at the spiritual dera of Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale in village Duffera on Sirhind-Chandigarh Road.

This name change was apparently suggested by Baba Ram Singh but this whole act of changing the name hasn’t gone down well with Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh.

When asked about his take on the name-change, Yograj was quoted saying by Bollywood Life, he "doesn't believe in this nonsense" as for him, Hazel would always remain Hazel and changing her name won't change her identity. He was once again adamant in putting forward his faith in only one God and not in "Baba's nonsensical talks".

Yuvi's father also added, “Yuvraj’s mother and our other family members had attended the wedding. I didn’t attend Yuvraj’s wedding because I don’t believe in this talk of Baba. Such talks can’t change the fortunes of people. For me, she (Yuvi’s wife) is Mrs. Hazel Yuvraj Singh. I don’t take this suggestion if changing name seriously.”
