New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that he is glad that decisions taken by him and his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull, who is on a visit to India, are not "subject to DRS"
Referring to the recently concluded high-voltage Test series between the two sides where the umpires' referral system was in focus, Modi said in his statement after holding bilateral talks with Turnbull, "In a lighter vein I am, of course, glad that our decisions are not subject to the D.R.S. Review system."
Modi also lauded Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his Australian counterpart Steven Smith for taking the cricketing world by storm with their consistent performances.
"Just last month, we witnessed a thrilling conclusion to the Border-Gavaskar trophy," Modi said.
"In my speech at the Australian Parliament in 2014 I had spoken of legendary Bradman and Tendulkar. Today, Virat Kohli in India and Steven Smith in Australia are shaping the young brigades of cricket," he added.

Modi nicely drew cricket analogies to describe the ties between the two countries.
The four-match series between India and Australia saw plenty of controversies as well, one of them being Smith seeking intervention from the Australian dressing room over the usage of a DRS decision.
