New Delhi: Customers won't be able to conduct bank transactions at branches for 6 days in a row from Tuesday as all banks will be closed for business, starting March 22 (Tuesday) in many parts of the country.

The dates being –March 23 and March 24 for Holi, March 25 for Good Friday, March 26 for fourth Saturday (Banks are closed on second and fourth Saturdays every month) and March 27 being Sunday.

In Bihar, banks will also remain closed for business on March 22 because of Bihar Divash.

Here is the list of bank holidays

-March 22 (Tuesday)- Bihar Divash (only in Bihar)

-March 23 and 24 (Wednesday-Thursday) -Holi

-March 25 (Friday) - Good Friday

-March 26 ( Saturday) - (Banks are closed on second and fourth Saturdays every month)

-March 27 (Sunday)

Owing to this long closure, banking services will affect business transactions. While the banking activities will come to a halt, ATM holders will have to suffer the most since ATMs are expected to run out of cash.

Though almost all the banks have privatised cash loading in ATMs and so they have to plan stocking of cash carefully, owing to the long holidays, there could be problems of cash starvation.
