`American Beauty` Mena Suvari files for divorce

Los Angeles: `American Beauty` star Mena Suvari has filed for divorce from husband Simone Sestito. The 32-year-old actress, who married the concert producer in Rome in 2010, has reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split, according to legal papers, reported TMZ online. Filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court by the Suvari`s attorney Mark Gross, the divorce documents state November 1 as the date of separation and the actress is said to be keen for a judge to prevent Sestito from gaining spousal support from her. In November, Suvari insisted the couple planned to have children together in the future, but were putting it off for the moment because of her husband`s work commitments. This will be Mena`s second divorce after she ended her five-year marriage to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann in 2005. PTI
