Delhi to Mumbai in 12 hours! 2nd trial run of high-speed Talgo train to start today

New Delhi: Spanish-made train Talgo on Friday will start its second trial run of the final phase from Delhi to Mumbai aiming a maximum speed of 130 kmph.
Talgo train aims to cut the travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to 12 hours will run at 130 kmph on this trial run.
The train with Railway and Spanish officials onboard will depart from Delhi at 14:45 hours and aim to reach Mumbai at 03:21 hours on August 6. The journey will be conducted with a maximum permissible speed of 130 kmph and a cant deficiency of 125mm.
Presently, the fastest trains on this sector are the Rajdhani Express and August Kranti Rajdhani Express which take around 16 hours to complete the journey.
The Talgo, often referred to as a `semi-bullet train`, comprises nine deluxe coaches, including two executive class, four chair cars, a cafeteria, a power car and a tail-end for the guard, staff and equipment.
