New Delhi: The cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is the most loved icon not just in the country but across the globe. Recently, his biopic 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' hit the screens and has been well received by the audience as well.

Interestingly, the popularity of the Master Blaster is such that the film has been declared tax free in Maharashtra today. According to PTI, the move to waive off entertainment tax has been taken by the state government to honour the contribution of Tendulkar in the world of sports and to ensure that the film reaches the maximum number of people in theatres.

'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' is a docu-drama, written and directed by British filmmaker James Erskine. It opened in theatres on May 26, 2017. Produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under the banner 200 NotOut Productions, the film has been previously declared tax free in Odisha, Kerala and Chhattisgarh.

There are glimpses of real-life incidents and it weaves out a terrific impact of Sachin Tendulkar fans.
