Padmaavat: Ranveer Singh’s latest Twitter post will melt your heart – Deets inside

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh has proved time and again that he is in the business to play a very long and impressive innings. Undoubtedly the man of the moment in Bollywood – Ranveer – has wowed his colleagues and moviegoers alike by his performances in the past. And now, he is all set to send shivers down the spine as the monstrous Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited yet controversial film – Padmaavat.

The bundle of energy, as Ranveer is often referred to as, took to Twitter to post a heartfelt note thanking his mentor Bhansali for giving him such a challenging role. He also thanked all those who appreciated his performance in the film.

Here’s what he posted: “I saw Padmaavat in 3D IMAX last night.

I am so overwhelmed with the film at this point that words fail me. I feel immensely blessed.

I am so proud of my team. Team PADMAAVAT for the win. High tens and monster hugs to everyone!

I am happy and relieved with the reactions to my performance. Thank you all for your kind and generous praise. Sanjay Sir has given me a gift of a character that I will forever be indebted to him for in my life, more than I already am. You have shaped me into the artist that I am, Sir. I love you.

For me the sheer toil of our film’s team has translated as magic on the big screen. And today on the eve of the release of our beloved film, I wish you all a very Happy Republic Day in advance and invite you all to the cinema halls. I am proud to be a part of a film that our whole country can be proud of. Jai Hind.”

Soon after the trailer of the film was unveiled last year, Tweeples went gaga over his avatar in the film. Ranveer came across as a beast that could terrorise everyone. The hunk of an actor had beefed up for the film to literally look like a monster. And his unkempt long tresses and scars on the face added to his frightening appearance.

Ranveer transformed into a beast and worked on his body language to come across as a treacherous Sultan who could go to any extent to be in power.

No wonder why people are heaping praise on Ranveer.

He definitely deserves it all and much more.
