New Delhi: Famous Bhojpuri actress Amrapali Dubey has turned singer this time and released her maiden 'Chhath Puja' song titled 'Chale Ke Baate Chhathi Ghaat Ae Piya'. The devotional song which was uploaded on YouTube a day before is already being liked a lot.

'Chale Ke Baate Chhathi Ghaat Ae Piya' song has garnered 538,797 views in a day. The song has been sung by Amrapali and the lyrics are penned by Pyare Lal Yadav. The music is composed by Dhananjay Singh.

It is that time of the year when devotees pray to the Sun god and Chhathi Maiya in order to seek their blessings. Chhath Puja holds greater significance in North India where it is one of the major festivals.

Several Bhojpuri stars release their devotional tracks during festivals such as Navratri, Kanwar and Chhath Puja. Another superstar from the industry, Khesari Lal Yadav too has sung hit Chhath Puja songs.

Chhath Puja is one of the major festivals in the country, predominantly celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and in parts of Nepal. The festival is dedicated to the Sun God (Surya Dev) and goddess Usha (Chhathi Maiya) his sister, seeking bounties of life on earth from them and requesting the granting of certain wishes. Also, devotees thank the god and goddess for their blessings.

It is a four-day long festivity and this year, Chhath Puja celebrations will begin from November 11 to 14.
