Virender Sehwag, Vijender Singh to campaign for RLP candidate in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara

A galaxy of sportspersons will converge to Bhilwara in Rajasthan to campaign for Rashtriya Loktantrik Party candidate candidate Devilal Meghvanshi. Among those arriving in Bhilwara, a city in the Mewar region of Rajasthan, are former cricketer Virender Sehwag, boxer Vijender Singh and wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat.

The public meeting has been organised at Manihar Cottage in Shahpura at 2.30 pm on Thursday. RLP supremo Hanuman Beniwal will also be present on the occasion.

Apart from political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath etc., members of other fraternities such as films and sports have also campaigned for various candidates in different areas.

Popular television actor Dilip Joshi, who plays the character of Jethalal Champaklal Gada in comedy series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is also set to campaign for a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaign in Rajasthan.

Joshi is slated to campaign for BJP candidate Lalit Ostwal, who is contesting from Bari Sadri Assembly seat in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. The actor, who has featured in films like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun, will address a public meet in support of the BJP candidate.

The polling for 200-seat Rajasthan Assembly will be held on December 7 and the result will be declared on December 11.
