'Only Imran Khan was my target', says gunman who opened fire at former Pakistan PM 

According to footage released by Pakistan police, the gunman who opened fire at Imran Khan allegedly accepted the allegations of firing and said that he had acted alone.

The suspect, Faisal Butt said, "Only Imran Khan was my target."

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif's reaction on attack on Imran Khan

Condemning the attack on Pakistan's former PM Imran Khan's cover, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif prayed for Khan's well being and asked for immediate enquiry.

"I have asked the Home Minister to ask for a report on the incident. I pray for the speedy recovery of Imran Khan and the injured," he said.

Police detain attacker who open fired at Imran Khan's convoy

According to the sources, the attacker fired with an AK-47 rifle, giving multiple injuries to Imran Khan on his leg. According to a local channel, a person was arrested on the spot and the police have taken him to some unknown place.

6 injured, 1 died in the assassination bid

In this unfortunate incident, 6 people, including Imran Khan, were injured and 1 person died. The police have arrested a person on the charge of firing and is trying to find out the motive behind firing at the rally
