Bahrain with an average PM2.5 concentration level of 66.6 ranked fourth.
Pakistan stood third in the country-wide ranking at 70.9.
Iraq had the second most polluted air and averaged 80.1.
Chad in central Africa had an average PM2.5 concentration level of 89.7 and replaced Bangladesh as the country with the most polluted air in 2022.
