WhatsApp updates mobile apps with a sleeker design, enhanced dark mode, and tailored features with a new colour palette for Android and Apple iPhone users.
WhatsApp experimented with over 35 different colour palettes before settling on a combination that reduces eye strain in low-light environments.
Meta said that the new colour within the app aligns with WhatsApp green logo and the new palette allows synchronised colour pairing throughout the app.
This bar provides quick access to key sections of the app: Chats, Calls, Communities, and Status Updates.
The light mode has been revamped with additional white space, contributing to a refreshed aesthetic and improved usability.
The update also includes a refresh of the app's icons, adopting a rounded, outlined style for a more contemporary look.
WhatsApp recently rolled out chat filters to locate and access important chats more efficiently.
