From its revenue share allocation from the IOC, World Athletics plans to distribute $2.4 million among athletes competing in 48 track and field events. Each gold medalist will receive $50,000, with relay teams sharing the same amount.
If he wins gold, Neeraj will return with $50,000, which is close to Rs 42 lakh.
Pak's Arshad Nadeem, Grenada's Anderson Peters. India's Kishore Jenna will also be in competition.
If both Neeraj and Kishore do well, India set to make history at Paris Olympics as they can win two Track and Field medals in just one event.
