Crispy Bread Dal Vada in 7 Easy Steps

Step 1

Take a blender and put soaked dal, garlic, and green chilies.

Step 2

Blend until it turns into coarse paste.

Step 3

Take a bowl and transfer the paste into it and add cumin seeds, hing, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, curry leaves, coriander leaves, onion, salt.

Step 4

Mix everything well together and roll a small vada out of it.

Step 5

Heat a pan on medium flame and put some oil.

Step 6

Put the vada in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes. Flip the vada over and fry well from the other side too.

Step 7

When fried well, take the vada out and drain the excess oil from it and transfer it into a serving dish.

Serve the vada with some spicy chutney and tangy sauce.
