Learn some quick ways to make tasty & flavourful Mumbai-style Vada pav at home:

Prepare Stuffing:

Boil and Mash your potatoes. Saute them with mustard seeds, curry leaves, salt & turmeric & then shape them into balls.

Make Besan Batter:

Mix gram flour, salt, turmeric & a pinch of baking soda in a bowl. Add water to form a dense batter.

Dip & fry Vada:

Coat your potato balls with the batter, ensuring they’re fully coated. Deep fry in hot oil until golden crispy.

Toast the bun:

Spread butter on the pav buns and lightly toast them on the tava.

Prepare Chutneys:

For authentic taste make and sprinkle dry garlic chutney along with green & tamarind chutneys.

Assemble the Vada-Pav:

Spread the chutneys on both sides of the pav then place the vada inside it and press it gently.

Garnish the Vada-Pav:

Serve it with fried chilies for a spicy kick.
