Lemon

While many people think of lemon tea as a weight loss drink, it can lead to acid reflux and heartburn, especially if you have it on an empty stomach. Also, lemon juice when mixed with tea leaves can turn acidic and lead to bloating.

Yoghurt

This is another combination that can cause acidity and digestive problems. Youghurt is acidic and should not be had along with tea.

Food Made Of Besan

Eating gram flour or besan products while drinking tea might lead to digestive issues and discomfort. So while you might love your pakode with chai, have them as less frequently as possible.

Turmeric

Turmeric and tea leaves are not compatible with one another and if you have food with turmeric along with tea, you might suffer from digestive issues like gas, acidity, or constipation.

Ice Cream

Hot tea followed by a thanda thanda ice cream (or the other way round) - this is a bad idea. Food of different temperatures causes digestive distress and should not be had at the same time.

Nuts

Nuts are loaded with iron and should not be had with tea. Iron is not compatible with tea.

Green Vegetables

Foods like green leafy vegetables, grains, lentils and cereals are again iron-rich like nuts and should not be paired with tea.
