Collect the necessary ingredients: 2 cups grated coconut, 1 cup jaggery (gud), 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt.
In a saucepan, add the jaggery and a little water. Heat on low until the jaggery melts completely, forming syrup.
Once the jaggery has melted, add the grated coconut to the saucepan. Mix well to combine the coconut and jaggery.
Stir in the cardamom powder and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until well combined.
Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly. It should be warm enough to handle but not too hot.
Once cool enough, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into small balls (narus) using your palms.
Allow the narus to cool completely and set. Serve as a delicious sweet treat or store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
