1 loaf of Italian bread (or French bread), 3 cloves of garlic, 1/2 cup of softened butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese (optional).
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic and softened butter together. Mix until it gets smooth and creamy.
Slice the Italian bread into 1-inch thick slices and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly onto each bread slice. Make sure to cover both sides.
If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it on top of the bread slices. Add salt and pepper according to your taste.
Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until it gets golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
