5 Step Recipe of a Spiced Carrot & Lentil Soup

Ingredients:

Cumin Seeds, Chili Flakes, Butter or Olive Oil, Carrots, Split Red Lentils, Milk, Vegetable Stock Cube, Fresh Coriander, Salt & Pepper

Step 1

Take a large pan and some olive oil in it and then add the cumin seeds along with chilli flakes, salt and pepper and let it cook until fragrant and take some of the cooked spices aside for the garnishing later.

Step 2

Now add some more butter or olive oil in the pan and add the grated carrots in the pan and stir it well until all the carrots are covered in the oil and spices.

Step 3

Now add the split red lentils along with water and vegetable stock and bring it to boil and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the lentils are soft.

Step 4

Now pour the cooked soup in the blender and blend it properly until it’s smooth.

Step 5

Now pour the blended soup in the pan and add some milk in it for the creamy taste or you can also add water if you want it light and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Serve

Now your tasty and healthy soup is ready, garnish it with chopped coriander and enjoy.
