1 teaspoon Tamarind 1 Tomato ¼ teaspoon Sugar ⅛ teaspoon Turmeric powder Salt as per taste Coriander to garnish 5 Curry leaves
1 tbsp Ghee/ Oil ½ teaspoon Mustard 2 Red chili 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds jeera Curry leaves 10-12
Soak tamarind in hot water for 30 mins and extract its juice and keep aside. Take the total water 3 cups and chop the tomato roughly.
Now, Heat the kadai and cook tomatoes in a few drops of oil with a pinch of salt for 3 mins,now add tamarind extract, turmeric, curry leaves, and half the coriander leaves.
Add the rasam powder, salt, and sugar to the boiled mixture you can also add two mashed garlic. It will give a great flavour Mix well and just bring to a boil.
Switch off the flame and transfer to the serving bowl and Garnish with coriander leaves and Close it.
Now, temper the items given in the tempering list respectively in order and add them to the rasam, carefully.
Enjoy hot steaming hot rice or idli.
