1. Apply a lip balm multiple times a day and right before bed to give your lips the vital moisture and hydration they need.
2. Use a lip moisturizer to lock in moisture. If you have vey dry and cracked lips, apply a thick ointment like white petroleum jelly.
3. Use a lip scrub on a regular basis to exfoliate your lips and remove any dry skin flakes.
4. Do not lick your lips. Wetting your lips with saliva regularly only makes them drier.
5. When heading outside in the sun, apply lip balm containing sunscreen. It will help in preventing dry and burned lips.
6. If your lips are dry and cracked, massage honey, aloe vera gel, and coconut oil onto them.
7. Use lip moisturizing products that contain mineral oil, petroleum jelly, dimethicone, shea butter, and ceramides.
8. Avoid lip products containing menthol, eucalyptus, or camphor as they can irritate and dry out your lips.
9. When you venture out into extreme weather, wear a scarf to protect your lips from drying out.
10. Make sure to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration, which can result in dry lips and skin.
