Anemia

This can be macrocytic (large red blood cells) or megaloblastic (immature and large red blood cells). Pale skin due to anaemia is another sign of Vitamin B12 deficiency.

Fatigue

Low Vitamin B12 levels can lead to one feeling easily tired or fatigued.

Peripheral Neuropath

Tingling, numbness, or burning sensations in the hands and feet can indicate low levels of Vitamin B12 at birth.

Ataxia

Ataxia can happen due to low Vitamin B12 levels and this means you face difficulty with balance and coordination.

Cognitive Changes

Memory problems, confusion, and difficulty concentrating can be an indicators of low Vitamin B12 levels in the blood.

Dementia-Like Symptoms

Severe cases of low Vitamin B12 levels can mimic Alzheimer's disease.

Gastrointestinal Symptoms

Psychiatric Symptoms

Depression, increased irritability and mood swings are common in those who have Vitamin B12 deficiencies. Some other symptoms of B12 deficiency include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeats, jaundice etc.
