A film festival named after Kareena has been organized to commemorate her contributions to Indian cinema.
She shared the news on her Instagram page, writing, "The blood in my veins, the magic on screen... my job I love... the fire within... here's to the next 25..."
The week-long festival is called "PVRINOX Celebrates 25 Years of Kareena Kapoor Khan Festival". From September 20 to September 27, it will be shown in more than 30 theaters across 15 cities.
The event will take place in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Noida, Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, and other cities.
Kareena debuted with JP Dutta's Refugee (2000).
The release of her recent film The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta, acts as a precursor to the gala.
The cast comprises Asoka (2001), Chameli (2003), Jab We Met (2007), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), and Omkara (2006).
During the occasion, Kareena will talk about her films and share her 25-year work experience. She will next be seen in Singham Again, which releases on Diwali.
