The fast starts early in the morning and can only end after the midnight celebrations.
Devotees can consume milk or milk-based products, fruits and nuts.
During the fast, Devotees are prohibited from eating any type of Pulses, Cereals or Grains.
Even though devotees tend to keep fast in which they can eat Vrat related foods, devotees can also keep “Nirjala Vrat”, i.e., fast in which you cannot consume anything, not even water.
The Vrat/Fast is broken at the end of the day by consuming the offerings that were offered to Lord Krishna.
During the fast, we should recite Lord Krishna’s name, Chant Mantra’s, Do Bhajan’s and Visit temples etc.
We should not think negatively and focus on Purity of Mind and Soul
