The Hyundai Kona Electric has been removed from the carmaker's Indian website, marking the end of its availability in India.
The Kona EV, Hyundai's first electric car in India, was launched in 2019 and remained available for nearly five years without significant updates.
It was offered in a single ‘Premium’ trim, priced at Rs 23.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The India-spec Kona Electric featured a 39.2 kWh battery pack, delivering an ARAI-rated range of 452 km.
It was equipped with an electric motor producing 136 PS and 395 Nm.
The Kona Electric was a slow-selling model and Hyundai was offering significant discounts on its remaining inventory.
Its prime rivals were the MG ZS EV and the BYD Atto 3. The Hyundai EV also served as a premium alternative to the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV.
