Lucknow: In an unusal incident, Uttar Pradesh Textile Minister Satyadev Pachauri's security guard's pistol ot stuck inside a MRI machine at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.
According to reports, Pachauri fell unconscious while he was giving speech at PM Modi's three-year term in Hardoi and hence was brought to the hospital for a medical check.
The minister, however, ignored the instructions and entered the MRI chamber with the pistol. The magnetic field around the MRI machine puled up the minister's pistol and damaged the machine worth Rs 5 crore.
The cost of repairing the 5-crore machine will come around Rs 40-50 lakh.
According to media reports, as soon as the minister saw the pistol being pulled out and sticking to the machine, he escaped the MRI room.
The pistol was loaded and a shot could have destroyed the oncology department of the facility. The damaged MRI machine has created problem for other patients who visit the hospital.
