Lucknow: Two members of Bhim Army were on Friday arrested in connection with the violence here on May 9 in which a police chowki and 20 vehicles were set ablaze, police said.
The accused, identified as Kamal Walia and Rohit Raj were arrested by a joint team of the crime branch and local police.
The duo were wanted in connection with violence and arson on May 9 when Bhim Army allegedly activists attacked a police party and mediapersons in Ramnagar village, according to police reports.
The district police had declared a cash reward of Rs 12,000 on them, the reports said, adding they were sent to jail.
On May 9, a police chowki was burnt, over 20 vehicles torched while several instances of stone-pelting and clashes were reported from across Saharanpur.
Bhim Army founder Chandrashekhar, the main accused in the Saharanpur caste violence, was nabbed from Himachal Pradesh yesterday after having evaded arrest for nearly a month.
